Bespoke VW Transporter and Caddy Roof Racks

We started designing the roof racks around a VW rack I owned .VW stopped producing these . Ironically this is because the VW racks were of poor quality in terms of materials and coatings. We loved the look of these original racks and took inspiration from them to make a similar but more stylish looking rack with thicker tubeing We felt we could improve on the quality of materials and thought that we could make it look aesthetically more sound by giving it a retro feel. We also chose to make the racks in different lengths and gave our customers the choice of Iroko or Oak Hardwood slats. As our products are bespoke and produced by hand it gives our customers the opportunity to purchase an individualised item.
The Racks are constructed by our coded welder and are powdercoated to your choice of colour (most RAL colours are available). If wooden slats are added to the rack, they are planed, sanded, round edged then oiled 3 times all round, to make sure they are ready for the great British weather.

Iroko and Oak hardwoods used for slats
Both hardwood, Iroko has a very slightly darker finish but better weather properties as it has a slightly tighter grain.
